When writing your blog have good quality content that people are going to find you on the internet.  Think like the customer who is searching on the internet…For example, If your customers are looking for a Cat 140H Motor Grader…then make that your title for your blog post.  Try it….IT WILL WORK.  I would put a description of the Cat 140H motor grader with information and a video.  Again it works!!!!  Remember to have great quality content with your blog post.  Also Target Keyword that your customers will search for to find your blog.

Also try to find search terms that have low competition…ALWAYS DO KEYWORD RESEARCH!!! Google Keyword External Tool…it will help.

Are you using squeeze page marketing websites to collect email addresses.  One of the best ways to collect emails is using a couple page website with a video with a way to collect name, email, and maybe cell phone.  Like this..http://heavy-equipment-parts.com .  Now I took away the main box to collect emails on the front page and put it on the Contact Page.  It works try it out.

Stay ahead of the Game

What I mean is stay ahead of the competition by keeping track of your industry projects.  For instance, I read trade journal and newspapers for new construction projects in the area.  So I can be the first one to hit the job site for construction equipment.  Like I said, “Stay ahead of the Game”….It works.

Another way I stay ahead is subscribing to Construction Job site journals like the Reed Report…which is like the old Dodge Reports.

Start looking for the trade journals of your industry and START USING THEM.  It will make you successful.

There are many places that you can network…Chamber of Commerce, MeetUp Groups, Trade Shows, Realtors Meeting (if your a mortgage person or loan officer), Special Association Meetings, and their are much more.  Do your research where your prospects or customers are.  Ask your customers if they belong to a professional association like the AGC or American Builders.

Telemarketing for salesman can be challenging and rewarding the same time.  You can call, call, and call and not get anyone on the phone.  If you don’t succeed, keep trying till you get a yes.  I know everybody says that, but it is the truth.  Also what I do is keep calling some of the same prospects for years before they become a customer.  You can’t expect everybody to become a customer on the first call.  Keep great records with your CRM software.  Keep calling and following up with prospects and customers.  It works.

To be a successful salesman, you need to consider your family. You would not be where your at if you did not have a great supportive family. Family comes first in life for a very successful salesman.
