That right I had said that you need to be honest salesman.  Customers do not want to be lied to, stretch the truth…just come out and be honest to your customer or prospect.  Don’t stretch the truth.  A Successful salesman will always tell the truth to a customer.  This is how you keep a customer for life.  Don’t follow the myths of a Car Salesman.  Believe in yourself and believe in your products and be HONEST.

I will share some of my tips that I use everyday which makes me successful.  I use one of the most powerful tools in the world…GOOGLE.  For instance, you can find out who doing a highway job by going to the State Department of Transportation Website.  You need to found out what customers you want and go do the research online.  Another example:  Google.. Realtors in Dallas, and you want to sell  them a software program that helps them get more leads.  Boom…you got the people in your grasp.  Then cold call them and schedule a meeting.  Always think outside the box, to get to your prospects.  Use social media to get to your prospects…LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter–each one has a vast sources of leads in the Real Estate.

Another successful way to drive sells is writing revelant articles pointing back to your site for SALES.  This is a great way to learn internet marketing in the way of blogging on different article sites…remember each article content should be different.  With each article have a call for action…(Like calling you for a sell)..Here is a list of article sites:

What is the best salesman network meeting places?  Depends on your field, for instance in my industry you usually will not find the big construction company at the Chamber of Commerce.  But you could find new prospect and/or customers at the Chamber if you are a Finance Advisor for Ameriprise or Edward Jones.  I have been to couple of the group meetings at a chamber which the meeting host is that person, “The Financial Advisor Guy”.  

Actually great place for pest control, carpet cleaning and other small time service providers.  A lot times you can present a presentation on your company in one of the Meet up meetings of the week.  For example, this is a great place to test out your new adventure in front future prospect or customers.

For Example:   Teach people how to use Social Media for Sales!!!!!!

I have been in Sales for awhile…and I have got train by the best in the world from convention, meetings, books and much more.  I have trained sales teams in the Cell phone business for years, which I came up with the best Telemarketing Script that help me get past the gatekeeper about all the time.  Here is the Script:

Gatekeeper answer the Phone:  “Hi my name is Kevin Cook with Sprint Wireless, I was wondering if you could help me, I am trying to get in touch of the person who handles your Cell phones.”

If after that be Quiet…..Try it….IT WORKS.
