Once it is there on the net, you have people from the entire globe to read it and may also find it useful to them. This very terminology of writing about your product and promoting them by putting them on web site is known as “Article Marketing”. The sphere of “Article Marketing” is expanding and we can see many people have started using this to promote their products and services. Apart from this, people write blogs where they give information about certain things which they believe would benefit people who read them.

This was all about what we mean by Article Marketing. However, there is something more to it. There are etiquettes of writing such articles and we would be discussing those etiquettes.

Type of article:  When we talk about an article, the first thing that hits our mind is how the reader will find our article especially when there are so many other similar articles getting published on a daily basis. The answer to this is pretty simple. In order to get a better position in the search engine pages, the writer needs to ensure that he writes the article using some specific words popularly known as “Keywords”. These keywords are used to achieve good rankings in the search engine which ultimately drives the article in its first few pages.

However, the scenario has changed for good. Now, it’s no longer the keywords that make it to the top of the search engine. It’s all about the content and the way it has been written. Readers want to get more information on a product and this has led the search engine operators to change the game. Now, the writer who provides more information on their article and has written it in a language that others can easily understand can expect it to come on the first page of the search engine.

Length of the Article:  If you think that by writing long stories and thus lengthening your article will help it to appear in the first page of the search engine, then you need to do some rethinking. While you are writing about your stuff, you need to ensure that you don’t make it a lengthy one. At the same time, it shouldn’t be too short to skip the attention of the search engine. You should know how to balance your article by inputting right amount of information and keeping it simple.

One of the best methods to drive traffic to a website is Content…by writing articles or blog posts on your website. Fresh original content keeps your website up to date with the search engines. But you ask me….what kind of content…Ask question like a frequent asked question section…for example, What is the difference between a Cat Dozer vs. John Deere Dozer. Maybe some of your customers might want to know….Answer the questions in blog posts on your website. It should work for your advantage.

Another way to put content on the Internet is to guest post on other relevant blogs with a link back to your blog. Again make sure it is a relevant respond to their article so it will not get deleted. This should drive more traffic to you and your blog. Try it and get back to me.

How can you market your business the best? By online online marketing…yes that is correct. One of the best ways is content marketing…by blogging and writing articles by creating a brand for you. For example, we have create a brand of selling heavy equipment, parts, rentals and service. When you do these things this create inbound marketing..which will create the phone to ring and emails coming in for quotes. Don’t be scare of the Internet of you will be passed up by your competitors.

So the best way to learn how to blog is to create a Blogger/Blogspot site which is free from Google. Learn the basic from that by create content, add picture, and much more. After mastering that you should learn how to use WordPress…(the free one on WordPress.com)…after mastering that then you are ready to Host your own website. I use Bluehost….and then I upload a template of WordPress…by learning the previous online free service you already know what to do on your website. The greatest thing about Bluehost is that it make it simple, with Simple Scripts. Basically shows you how to do it. Make selling a fun thing by cold calling, door knocking and telemarketing. Every year I start over with the basics…going to see customers, telemarketing like a machine, job sites, door knocking, networking, referrals, Internet marketing, blogging, video marketing and much more. Remember everybody’s job in a business is selling….Selling, Selling!

I remember when I help my friend start a office supply company…we worked nights dropping off catalogs on door steps of businesses. Again selling is going the extra mile…and doing the unexpected to get a sale. Also when we sold office supplies to those customers we would give the office manager a rose to tell her (usually women) thank you buying our office supplies. We grew that company to 50,000 plus in sales. Again do the unexpected. Remember partner with your customers.

What I mean is blog everyday a post about your topics and the sales will come.  Keep relevant content of your topic.  Content, Content, and more content…will have the search engines keep coming to your blog or website.  Again make selling a fun and challenging adventure…the rewards will come.  Be proactive is changing and testing what works and what doesn’t work.  Test, Test!!!!  So go out an blog at least one post a day…the Traffic will come over time!!!!
