Don’t Avoid a Piss off Customer

What I mean by that is when you don’t answer their phone calls and not return them. I rather have a piss off customer than a happy customer.  What I mean by that is I will fix the problem and they will become a great customer for the rest of your life.  When you don’t answer your phone it will create more problems.  Say that you miss their phone call…immediately when you have a chance you call them back.  In my business, it will spread like a wild flower.  To become a great salesman….you NEED TO ANSWER YOUR CELL PHONE OR OFFICE PHONE AT ALL TIMES!!!!!  You will see that it will award you in the long run.  Good Luck and Good Selling.

One of my favorite slogan is….GO WHERE YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE!!!!!

1.  Their are plenty of the organizations or association that you can join to network with prospects or customers.

2.  Ask for referrals from existing customers.  Your customers are the best advocates …Usually they are friends or acquaintances with their competitive.  In my business that another sales representative that I don’t need to pay.

3.  Send out postcards to your list of prospects and customers..Keep them in form…with a special coupon on each.

4.  Always, Always, Always,  Tele-market everyday!!!!!  It will paid off.  Make sure you plug in your information in your CRM Software.  Like ACT!!!  which is a Sage Software.

5.  Write a Blog on your Topic.  Do a post everyday to help drive traffic to your website.

6.  Become an expert in your field.  Read publications, product literature, go to conferences, and see speakers.

7.  Become a social media guru.  Use all of the social media platforms to create relevant list of prospects and customers.  (i.e. LinkedIN, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)—Also see the AddThis button on this page for more

8.  Cold Call in the Field…Door knocking.. Find a publication of addresses and go see prospects

9.  Keep learning, keep learning, keep learning

Stay ahead of the Game

What I mean is stay ahead of the competition by keeping track of your industry projects.  For instance, I read trade journal and newspapers for new construction projects in the area.  So I can be the first one to hit the job site for construction equipment.  Like I said, “Stay ahead of the Game”….It works.

Another way I stay ahead is subscribing to Construction Job site journals like the Reed Report…which is like the old Dodge Reports.

Start looking for the trade journals of your industry and START USING THEM.  It will make you successful.
