Today I put a classified ad up for a Caterpillar D6R LGP and the phone light up. We got calls all around the United States asking about that dozer. I have been using classified sites for a long time for internet marketing. Try it ….IT WORKS. Try Craigslist.org
It actually kinda fun to see if something like this work..try it..be very appealing in your ad.

Telemarketing for salesman can be challenging and rewarding the same time. You can call, call, and call and not get anyone on the phone. If you don’t succeed, keep trying till you get a yes. I know everybody says that, but it is the truth. Also what I do is keep calling some of the same prospects for years before they become a customer. You can’t expect everybody to become a customer on the first call. Keep great records with your CRM software. Keep calling and following up with prospects and customers. It works.
Internet Marketing Strategies and Techniques
Internet marketing is a trial and error. Everybody wants the magic pill on how to internet market,,,but the real thing is to see what works in your industry. What works very good in my industry is Video, so I market the video on different heavy equipment that we own. Test the waters. Some others could be blogging everyday about a internet topic that has to do with their product. Again test the waters. That is what so great about the internet…you can test, fail, and succeed. If you were selling hair products for women then maybe the Social Media would be a fit in your Internet Marketing.

I believe to be different in todays times is to be unique in your Salesman Duties. Have each salesman create a Website to drive traffic to him/her own website which in terms make them money and your company money, challenge them also with Social Media, which become back links to your Website. Internet Marketing Works for becoming the Best Salesman in the World. For example, with Google you can test all your campaigns or websites with Google Analytics to see what is working best. So with a link add it to your Google Analytics Website to test the different domains that work.
And if you a Salesman then take advantage of the tips and start drive leads/traffic to you to make yourself become the Number One Salesman in your Company.

A Great Salesman Reads Non-Verbals
What mean about that is watching or listening to the selling signs that people give you by their voice or face. You need to read book about this topic. It will help you with co-workers, family, friends, prospects and customers. I have taken multiple classes in this in College and took Public Speaking courses also.
When prospects become customer they will give you a lot of non-verbals to close them NOW!!!!

Guest Posting on Websites that are Relevant
Here some examples, sales websites, marketing websites, business journals, newspapers that are business and sale related…THAT WHAT I WOULD DO FOR THIS WEBSITE!!!!!
What I mean by that is going to different website or blogs that have ways to leave comments that you can backlink back to your website. It works awesome. Don’t be a spamming saying, “Great Post”, or “I agree”. Write a small paragraph referencing the blog post or articles or give great example of how you done something relevant about the topic. AGAIN IT WORKS. Again look or sound like an expert….
Also I forgot: How to find websites that are relevant? Use the power of Google!!!! Search for your topics…and start POSTING!!!!!

Product Knowledge Salesman
Education is the key to be successful in selling your products. So that means that you need to study. What I also mean you need to know your products and your competitors products. In heavy equipment sales/rentals, you need to the know the classes of equipment. From Weight, models, what they do, how big the bucket is, and much more. To be successful, you need knowledge…which can be learn. You would be surprise when I talk to different heavy equipment rental salesman that don’t know the difference from one machine to the other. If you are going to be in the business then you need to know the business.

In todays time you want to be an expert of your products and services. To help you look like an expert is join forums. Remember you can not sale anything, just answer questions. Give advice on topics…NO SELLING…they will find you as an Expert. Google some reason loves forum on the internet…I have been on couple forums for years, and it always links back to my heavy equipment websites. Try it out…there are forums for heavy equipment, dogs, pets, sales, and so on. Remember to fill-out your profile to put a link of your domain in it.
