Today marketing and sales needs to work together as one person….A SALESMAN.  Let think about this..who is talking to prospects and customers –Salesman!!!!  So they to design the marketing plan for Today Sales.  That what I do and we are very successful.  You are in front of them and they ask you question which then can be turn to marketing material for the future.  For example, brochures, descriptions of different products that are hot for you can promote to others in different marketing, like direct mail, email marketing campaigns and much more.  Another example that we use to market to construction companies is a brochure on what we have to rent and also the advantages doing business with us over the competition.  Guess who design these brochures, “THE SALES TEAM”, THAT RIGHT.

Make marketing fun and challenging..change it up..test different strategies.  Always test the market by marketing to your prospects and customers (Ask them).

I have been doing internet marketing for a good while in my sales job, which I have a college degree in marketing.  We get calls from your different websites (blog), videos, guess posting sites, social networking and PPC (pay per click campaign).  But the joy that I love that it is challenging but rewarding in the long run.  It takes work to be a successful salesman.  It is no get rich  quick…you have to work.

What is funny is when people call your office and says that you are the voice.  I always say what do you mean…which I know is the videos that I put on about 20 plus video sites around the world.  It works!!!!!

Today Salesman needs to Master Today Marketing (OLD WAYS AND THE NEW WAYS (INTERNET) ….Remember,  “PEOPLE BUY FROM PEOPLE THEY LIKE”

Library can be your best friend in sales…What I mean is the Library Databases that they have online.  Not a lot people know this secret so I am going to spell it out.  The Library is a Telemarketing machine…database, lead generations, and making lots of money.  Telemarketing baby…!!!!!!!

For example, here in Texas, I have been on two different cities libraries.  All you need to access this great database in a library card in your cities, I know it works in two citiies in DFW.  The database name is “referenceUSA”…which you access it through your library’s website with your library card number.  There are 14 million companies (USA) and 1.5 million (Canadian) that are in the database…Who said this is a bad economy…I don’t believe that crap…you make your own destiny.

In this database, alway use the custom field to break it down by size, name,business type, geographic, phone, and so on….

Go go out an make all the money that you are worth…YOU JUST GOT TO DO THE TELEMARKETING OR COLD CALLING (DOOR KNOCKING)

Today salesman should use videos to explain the products, the benefits, advantages and why to buy.  Always do your keyword research to capitalize on your videos. (which I can go in more detail later).  YouTube is the number one video and the second search engine on the internet….Guess what Google owns them.

For example lets says that you sell BMWs in DFW an you have a Blue BMW located in DFW.  So I would do a video name “Blue BMW M6 Fort Worth TX”  and I am pretty sure this video will be highly rank in Google.

Remember people usually are searching local for the products…like my example BMW.

First, I check my status of listing on the main page seeing what everybody is talking about…remember to like or in gauge in conversation. Second, check to see if you need to add anything new to your profile. Thirdly, I use LinkedIn everyday by posting to my groups and in gauge conversation with the members.

Also another way to be more relevant is to create your own group in your industry. I have over 2000 members in my business group. Which I have news articles of my industry keeping people updates and job posts around world. REMEMBER IN GAUGE IN CONVERSATION. Make it fun.

I have been in Sales for awhile…and I have got train by the best in the world from convention, meetings, books and much more.  I have trained sales teams in the Cell phone business for years, which I came up with the best Telemarketing Script that help me get past the gatekeeper about all the time.  Here is the Script:

Gatekeeper answer the Phone:  “Hi my name is Kevin Cook with Sprint Wireless, I was wondering if you could help me, I am trying to get in touch of the person who handles your Cell phones.”

If after that be Quiet…..Try it….IT WORKS.

Social media marketing is adding your url of articles that you written on your blogs and socializing with fans on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, and other social networks.

What I do for internet marketing for a great deal of time was blogging about us.  What we do, What we sale, what we service, specials, and more much.  I have a blog of a part list of different products if people search for on the search engines, we   pup up on the first page of the different search engines.

Here what you need to do:

First research (google free keyword tool) the keywords with great quality…at least three or more keywords titles.    For example, “Red Corvette in Texas”  Try it…it works.

Then after you have a great title then blog about the information in an article form.

Start trying this technique and more will come
