Sales Jobs is like School

What I mean by that is you are taught by a teacher at school and you should learn from a sales mentor (or the best salesman in the company)..the right ways how to sells your products.  We all know their are bad teachers in the world as we know there are bad salesman.  We need to take the time and learn from the best.  By watching his/her habits on how they handle clients or problems.  Remember learn from the best.  If you can not find a good mentor…there are meet up groups and network events that can help you.  Remember always keep learning!!!!!  Make your Sales Job fun!!!!!

Checking on your Products

Checking on your Products

What I mean about that is always know what your products are doing. Either going to an App store on iTunes or a job-site where your heavy equipment is….always check on progress. By doing this you can tweet it or fix it. Stay ahead of completion by knowing everything about your products. A person that knows about their products is an awesome salesman. Product knowledge is a great sales tool. So start studying….

I remember when I started my different sales careers, I didn’t know anything about each. Baseball, football, cell phones to heavy equipment….learn the scope of what you are selling by learning product knowledge.

Having Fun at Your Sales Job

Making your day go by fast is having fun with your job.  Just like when you are tele marketing on the phone….when speaking to the prospects…Smile and Laugh it goes far on the phone for success in Sales.  Make Humor a must at your job…with clean great practical jokes.

Also to have fun with telemarketing is standing up and walking around in your place of business.  If you sit down always..you may sound a little down or sluggish…Get up and laugh and talk on the phone with customers and prospects.  You will see you have more success standing rather than sitting.  Make it fun!!!!!

Have contests with other sales reps…whoever sets the most appointments..get a gift card to their favorite restaurant or even a Gift Card from iTunes (of course they have to have an Apple product).  Again Make it Fun.

Have cold calling blitz…get a team of two salesman and go door knocking.  Again same concept as above with the gift cards.  Set appointments and get gift cards.  Make fun!!!

What I mean is blog everyday a post about your topics and the sales will come.  Keep relevant content of your topic.  Content, Content, and more content…will have the search engines keep coming to your blog or website.  Again make selling a fun and challenging adventure…the rewards will come.  Be proactive is changing and testing what works and what doesn’t work.  Test, Test!!!!  So go out an blog at least one post a day…the Traffic will come over time!!!!

Having a Phone App to drive sales is a must.  Again be ahead of your market and curve is a must.  I have a Heavy Equipment App in iTunes and Android Market.  It has drove traffic back to my websites, Youtube Videos, and Blog.  It works!!!!  I doesn’t have to be the best App in the market, but get one up.  You can always have a professional design a better one later.  Like I said it helps drive traffic back to me and creates SALES!!!!!

To be the best Sales Person…sometimes you need to work on your own time preparing with books, literature, blogging, social media, and so on.  You have to work on your own time to become the best…I mean Weekends, After work, and maybe late at night.  To be the best…You have to learn from the Best..READ, WATCH VIDEO ON YOUTUBE OR TED TV, and STUDY–(THAT RIGHT I SAID STUDY THEM).  It Works!!!!   So do your HOMEWORK.

There is no magic pill of sales, Just Hard Work. But If you use all the tools of Internet Marketing…It is almost like having a magic pill.  You Have to use Video Marketing and Social Media Marketing.  I get call every day about heavy equipment that we promote on the web by my efforts of Internet Marketing.

Those three are a great way to advertise your products and receive sales

Here some examples, sales websites, marketing websites, business journals, newspapers that are business and sale related…THAT WHAT I WOULD DO FOR THIS WEBSITE!!!!!

What I mean by that is going to different website or blogs that have ways to leave comments that you can backlink back to your website.  It works awesome.  Don’t be a spamming saying, “Great Post”, or “I agree”.  Write a small paragraph referencing the blog post or articles or give great example of how you done something relevant about the topic.  AGAIN IT WORKS.  Again look or sound like an expert….

Also I forgot:  How to find websites that are relevant?  Use the power of Google!!!!  Search for your topics…and start POSTING!!!!!

In todays time you want to be an expert of your products and services. To help you look like an expert is join forums. Remember you can not sale anything, just answer questions. Give advice on topics…NO SELLING…they will find you as an Expert. Google some reason loves forum on the internet…I have been on couple forums for years, and it always links back to my heavy equipment websites. Try it out…there are forums for heavy equipment, dogs, pets, sales, and so on. Remember to fill-out your profile to put a link of your domain in it.
